This request was conveyed by the Regent of Gorontalo, Nelson Pomalingo, during an interview as part of the Accreditation Survey of the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Dr. MM. Dunda Limboto by Assessors from the Hospital Accreditation Commission (KARS) on Tuesday (5/12/2023).

Nelson hopes that RSUD MM Dunda will achieve a perfect result in the accreditation assessment.

“Considering that RSUD Dunda Limboto is one of the referral hospitals in Gorontalo Regency,” emphasized Nelson.

Meanwhile, the Director of RSUD Dunda Limboto, Dr. Alaludin Lapananda, stated that according to applicable laws and regulations, hospitals as health service facilities must be accredited.

Accreditation, he said, was originally scheduled to be carried out before 2023, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the accreditation survey activities by KARS were only conducted this year.

He added that RSUD Dunda Limboto was previously accredited in 2017 with a Full Accreditation predicate.

“And today, reaccreditation is carried out again, as stipulated in the regulations. Because every 4 years, all hospitals must undergo periodic accreditation as an effort to maintain the quality of continuous best services for the community,” he said.

“Protecting patient safety, improving human resources, governance, and supporting government programs in the field of health,” he added.

External assessments of hospital services must be conducted by an independent non-profit organization in the field of hospital accreditation.

“Today, the government has entrusted the Hospital Accreditation Commission in 2022. KARS has 946 supervisors, consisting of 355 management supervisors, 315 medical supervisors, and 276 nursing supervisors,” he concluded.(*)
