Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The issue of unpaid professional allowances for teachers, ADD, and additional income for civil servants in Gorontalo Regency, which was raised as a campaign issue by a veteran politician who is also a member of the Gorontalo Regency DPRD, has received a response from the Gorontalo Regency Government.

The Head of the Regional Finance and Asset Agency (BKAD) of Gorontalo Regency, Yanto Manan, explained that the issue of unpaid professional allowances for teachers, ADD, and civil servant TPP is not only experienced by the Gorontalo Regency Government.
However, he said, it is also experienced by most regencies and cities throughout Indonesia.

According to Yanto, this is due to the impact of the national simultaneous general election (Pemilu), which mandates regencies and cities to immediately disburse 40 percent of the election grant funds to the KPU and Bawaslu.
“Another factor causing the non-payment of professional allowances for teachers, ADD, and TPP is the failure to achieve the planned and set revenue targets in 2023,” Yanto explained.
Nevertheless, Yanto emphasized that they are committed to settling these payments. For the payment process, he said, they have taken concrete steps.
Among them, Yanto continued, is to identify the unpaid expenditures for the 2023 budget year, where he believes identification is the initial step that local governments must take, which will then be discussed by the regional government budget team and reviewed by the APIP.
“Later, the results of the APIP review will serve as the basis for the regional government to amend the Regional Regulation on the Regional Budget (APBD) for the 2024 budget year to incorporate expenditures or debt arrears for the 2023 budget year,” he concluded.
Yanto hopes that all teachers, village heads and village officials, as well as civil servants, can be patient for a while. What is certain, Yanto said, is that the local government is committed to settling and disbursing all the rights of teachers and civil servants as well as ADD. (*)
