Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – The central government has appointed Sofian Ibrahim as the Provincial Secretary (Sekdaprov) of Gorontalo.
This is stated in Presidential Decree Number 166/TPA Year 2023 regarding the Termination and Appointment of High-Ranking Officials in the Environment of the Gorontalo Provincial Government.
Rifli Katili, the Head of the Information and Statistics Agency, revealed that the decree was signed on November 24, 2023.
“Alhamdulillah, the President’s decree through the Minister of Home Affairs on the appointment of Mr. Sofian as the definitive Sekda has been issued,” said Rifli Katili on Saturday (2/12/2023).
“Insha Allah, if there are no obstacles, he will be inaugurated next Wednesday,” added Rifli Katili.
Rifli explained that the selection of the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) for Gorontalo Province had gone through various stages of selection at the provincial level before being submitted to the Final Evaluation Team.
Previously, three names were proposed: Budiyanto Sidiki, Jamal Nganro, and Sofian Ibrahim.
“There is an appeal from Acting Governor Ismail Pakaya for everyone to respect and implement the President’s decision,” said Rifli.
“This has become the best decision; we must ‘sami’na wa atha’na’ (hear and obey),” added the former Tourism Agency Head.
The inauguration of Sofian Ibrahim as Sekdaprov Gorontalo will begin with the inauguration of Sila Nurainsyah Botutihe as the Acting Regent of Gorontalo.
The inauguration, scheduled to be held at the Governor’s Official Residence, is planned to start at 07:00 WITA on the next Wednesday. (Release)
