Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Wali Kota Gorontalo (Mayor of Gorontalo City), Marten Taha, conveyed several messages during the inauguration of the Regional Council (MD) of the Alumni Corps of the Islamic Students Association (KAHMI) and the Women’s Alumni Forum of HMI (FORHATI) Gorontalo City for the period 2023-2028 on Friday night (19/1/2024) at the Gorontalo City DPRD building.

Among the many messages, the most fundamental one is to maintain independence. According to Marten, this is sacred for KAHMI and FORHATI.
He emphasized that KAHMI is known for its independence, not affiliated or affiliated with any political power.

Therefore, he requested the newly inaugurated KAHMI and FORHATI executives in Gorontalo City to remain consistent with this independence.
Not only advocating for independence, Marten also urged the officials of KAHMI and FORHATI in Gorontalo City to continue contributing to the nation, including in the political life of the country.
“Therefore, starting from all levels, both at the regional and national levels, KAHMI shows its active participation in the sustainability of the nation’s life through various activities,” he said.
On that occasion, Marten also congratulated the newly appointed officials.
“The organization’s wheel must be run in accordance with the constitution’s mandate.
The KAHMI constitution and bylaws mandate that the tenure of leadership must undergo succession based on various mandates entrusted by the organization,” said Marten.
He also expressed his appreciation and highest respect to the Regional Council of KAHMI Gorontalo City, fulfilling the organization’s mandate as the legal basis for carrying out organizational tasks.
“So tonight, we officially approve, we inaugurate the regional officials of KAHMI and FORKOHATI Gorontalo City, as a result of the implementation of the constitution’s mandate,” Marten explained.
