Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Gorontalo Regent, Nelson Pomalingo, urges relevant regional agencies to evaluate ineffective regional regulations (Perda).
“Many Perda have been enacted but are not functioning optimally; I request an evaluation,” Nelson stated during the plenary session approving two legislative and executive proposed draft regulations (Ranperda) on disabilities and archiving on Monday (4/12/2023).
If the evaluation reveals that the mentioned Perda are genuinely not meeting expectations, Nelson instructs their removal.
For the evaluation process, Nelson grants one week to the Secretary of the Gorontalo District, Roni Sampir, and the related regional agencies.
“So I ask for results within a week—identifying Perda that can be continued, removed, merged, or those urgently needed because the implementation has not been optimal,” he emphasized.
Additionally, Nelson requests prompt issuance of essential Perda. “Currently, there are several needed Perda, such as investment and licensing regulations,” explained Regent Nelson.
He hopes that the newly enacted Perda will not become mere consequences that were not budgeted, hindering their implementation due to budgetary constraints.
In conclusion, Nelson expresses gratitude to the entire working committee for their sincere efforts in discussing the two Ranperda related to disabilities and archiving.
“May this be a source of blessings for everyone in advocating for Ranperda, from the discussion stage to approval,” he concluded.(*)
